These images were all captured during visits to pristine local woodland areas. Natural areas like these are located not far from my studio/home, which is based in Ontario, Canada. Living as I do, in one of Canada's smaller sized city, which does have it's advantages. I can set off from my studio and be in wide open country side in about ten too fifteen minute. Sadly however, my newly found photographic haunts, some that I am still discovering, are places that will eventually be bulldozed under, and then supposedly "developed" for the commercial potential that has been envisioned by one of our local land developers, or biosphere "rapist" as I tend to think of them.

I know this land plunder is going to occur, because I have taken note as I have passed by my older photographing haunts, those of ten and fifteen years ago. And each of those locations has undergone a form of...humm....how best to describe it. Perhaps it can best be explained to you as a "vicious inhuman attack", an assault on the living biosphere by seemingly "rabid" fossil fuel powered machines. It appears as if it is an uncaring process, and in many respects it comes across, at least it does to me, as any commercial developers thoughtlessly driven biosphere transgression. Essentially it's the mark of "commercially fueled arrogance" in action. And it often foreshadows the complete eradication of the pristine original landscape that once existed. Society in general, tends to think of job generating actions as being modern "progress" in action, but one could ask, what is going to be the true biosphere invoice, that our civilization will ultimately be responsible for. Is humankind's desire for constant progress, ever thinking through the threat of tampering with the biosphere's over arching all life support equation, somehow I very much doubt it.

The "bullying" and subsequent landscape "murder" (for in truth, from the vantage point of enlightened planetary aware reasoning, that's what it really is) of vast areas of the living biosphere that surrounds my relatively small sized city. Have all occurred during several decades that I have lived and worked in my studio at this particular location. Such carnage has my mind baring aware witness to the unbridled spread in human growth, and that also brings forth a rather vivid and all encompassing depiction as well. It is the graphic visualization of a "greedy" cancerous growth that's in the frenetic process of devouring it's host subject. In fact humanities reckless growth appears to me, to be a primal "truth" devouring "monster" that's wreaking unbridled havoc on this seemingly defenseless organic reality. Now as you have probably already deduced, that's just my creative imagination's way of processing the biosphere "savaging" that I am, I will admit, a reluctant witness too, and by extension a willing participant in, merely through the fact of being born a human being, here on this defenseless primal organic planet.
